Dendritic Agate Pendant
One of my most favourite pieces, this is a fabulous stone with an organic granulation frame.
The dendritic agate is a milky white colour with dark fern markings. I have set this with 4 talon like claws, clutching the stone in place. The stone is then surrounded by granulation, little silver balls of various sizes that remind me of lichen. The whole piece was oxidised to make it black and then the high points have been polished back to silver to make all the little details stand out.
There is a bail at the top of the pendant and a sterling silver chain passes through it, finishing with a lobster clasp.
The back of the pendant has an oval cutout to allow some light through the stone. There are also marks left from the making process, a crack from rolling out the silver and bumps where it started to melt during soldering. It's full of character and texture.
The pendant is an oval shape, 3.5cm x 2.5cm and the chain is 50cm in length.
Necklace Length
Unless stated otherwise, your new necklace will be on a 45cm chain. You can view my handy Necklace Length Guide here to see how that would look on:
