Notes from the Jewellers Bench - 2024 Commissions

As we welcome 2025, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the incredible commissions I had the privilege of creating in 2024. It’s been such a joy to work on these unique pieces, each telling its own story and crafted with care in my workshop.

Here are just a few highlights from the year:

Birthday Earrings for Katy

Now you know I love stars, so these were obviously going to be a winner! And in gold too, what is not to love? A special pair of studs to celebrate a special birthday.

An Ancient Coin for Don

A metal detecting find, this very old coin was set in a silver setting to create a pendant for Christmas. I worked in wax to make an organic shaped and texture setting.

A Jewellery Set Drenched in Significance for Chris

Surprise, another star! This pendant is part of a set with two more pendants and a pair of earrings that I’ve been working on throughout the year. I love that every piece of this had some sort of meaning, the shape, the dragon, the stone, Chris had considered it all. I also had to collaborate with a friend for the engraving of the dragon which was fun!

Each of these commissions was an opportunity to collaborate closely with my clients, bringing ideas to life and creating pieces that hold deep personal meaning. It’s an honour to play a small part in their stories, whether celebrating love, marking a milestone, or simply creating something uniquely yours.

Looking ahead, I’m already excited for the commissions and creative opportunities that 2025 will bring. If you’ve been considering a custom piece, now is the perfect time to start planning, my books are officially open!

Feel free to reach out or visit my shop to discuss your ideas.
